
Women's Hoops Downs Pac-10 Rival Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Maylana Martin scored 17 points and Marie Philman added 15 as No. 7 UCLA coasted to a 90-68 win over Oregon State on Saturday.
Janae Hubbard had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bruins (18-5, 10-1 Pac-10), who outscored Oregon State (11-9, 3-8) by 16 points in the final half.
Oregon State trailed by 11 points in the first half before closing to 37-31 at halftime on a 3-pointer by Sayesha Thomas and two free throws by Vanessa Morris.
The Bruins went on runs of 11-2 and 10-1 in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Erica Brosterhous led Oregon State with 18 points, but the other four starters for the Beavers combined for just six points.
Thomas scored a career-high 12 points off the bench for Oregon State.
