EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Shaquala Williams scored 24 points and Lindsey Dion added 17 as Oregon beat No. 22 UCLA 89-72 Thursday night.
The Ducks (20-6, 11-3) survived a 39-point performance from UCLA's Maylana Martin to hold onto the Pac-10 lead. She made 17-of-22 shots.
Oregon, which won its sixth straight game, outscored the Bruins 9-0 in the first two minutes of the second half to break a 36-36 tie. The Ducks turned the burst into a 22-5 run that broke it open.
UCLA (15-8, 9-4) could get no closer than 11 points the rest of the way.
Williams scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, in the first nine minutes of the second half. She hit a short jumper, followed by a 3-pointer, after the Bruins had trimmed Oregon's lead to 58-47 with 12 minutes to play.
That was followed by a jumper from Dion, a rebound basket by Brianne Meharry, and a pair of fast break lay-ins by Dion.
