MALIBU, Calif. - In the second meeting between the two schools this season, No. 9 UCLA (9-5) dropped its second match of the year to No. 10 Pepperdine (11-2), falling 5-1 at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu Tuesday. Pepperdine beat UCLA 5-3 back on Feb. 8 at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.

UCLA's lone victory came at the No. 6 slot, where Catherine Hawley defeated Pepperdine's Anh Nguyen 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Pepperdine took singles victories on court Nos. 1-5.

With the match already decided, doubles was not played.

The Bruins will be in action again this Friday when they host Illinois at the Los Angeles Tennis Center beginning at 1:30 p.m.
