LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Aniko Pelle and Jennifer Durley scored three goals each as the host USC Trojans upset the UCLA Bruins, 9-7, to win the 2000 Women's Water Polo Southern California Regional. It was the first time in five meetings between the two teams this season that USC has defeated UCLA. Both teams scored three goals in the first period before USC outscored UCLA, 6-4, in the remainder of the match. USC, UCLA, San Diego State and Loyola Marymount automatically qualify for the National Championships, to be held May 5-7 in Bloomington, Ind.
