LOS ANGELES - The top-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team swept two league opponents over the weekend, defeating Pacific and Stanford on the road.
The Bruins beat Pacific Friday, 15-5, 15-2, 15-9 for the 10th straight time and on Saturday they won at Maples Pavilion 15-11, 15-9, 15-11 in front of 1016 spectators.
The victories raised the Bruins overall record to 5-0 and 2-0 in MPSF play. UCLA is in first place atop the Mountain Division.
Next week the Bruins will travel to the Sixth Annual Outrigger Hotels Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii. The Bruins will play Penn State (Jan. 26), IPFW (Jan. 27) and Hawaii (Jan. 28).
The Bruins return to Pauley Pavilion Fri., Feb. 4 for a showdown in the 23rd Annual Kilgour Cup with USC.
