- Fourth-ranked UCLA extended its streak over San Diego State to nine matches with a 3-0 sweep over the unranked Aztecs in Pauley Pavilion.The Bruins (11-2, 5-2) won 15-4, 15-7, 15-12 in 100 minutes before 345 spectators.
Freshman Scott Morrow led the Bruins with 18 kills (.667) and eight total blocks as UCLA limited the Aztecs to a hitting percentage of .163 and out-blocked them 14.5-6.0. Seniors Seth Burnham and Evan Thatcher added 16 and 15 kills, respectively, and senior Matt Davis added 11 digs.
Mike Szymanski led SDSU with 15 kills.
The Bruins will host Cal State Northridge tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the John Wooden Center.
