
Men's Volleyball Squad Sweeps Concordia

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA men's volleyball team defeated Concordia College of New York 3-0 Saturday night in Pauley Pavilion. The victory was the Bruins' eighth straight.
The Bruins (19-3) won 15-3, 15-9, 15-3 in 75 minutes before 408 spectators.
Senior middle blocker Seth Burnham returned to the lineup to lead the Bruins with 16 kills (.583), followed by senior Ed Ratledge, who added 15. Junior Mark Williams had 14 kills and freshman Cameron Mount added 13 as the UCLA offense connected at a 53.6% clip. The Bruins held the Clippers to an attack percentage of .202 by out-blocking them 8-3.
Concordia (12-5) was led by senior Olney Thompson's eight kills and sophomore Carlos Lopez's seven.
After a trip to Hawaii for a two-match series with the Rainbows Mar. 17 and 18, the Bruins return for a Mar. 31 date at Cal State Northridge. UCLA will host Loyola-Marymount on Apr. 5 at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
