UCLA
Head Coach Gary Adams
(On today's game) - "Today we did it again, with everything, hitting, pitching and defense. You saw how the Bruins can play when we put those three things together. Ryan Carter really stepped it up and I think that it was a surprise to Oklahoma. Ryan Carter is an experienced pitcher. He is a horse. Oklahoma jumped off with those two runs, basically we handed them those runs. We had some key hits by Chase Utley and Bill Scott. I wanted a lot of runs at that point, because if you look at the box scores Oklahoma can score six runs in an inning. This was a well played game by the Bruins and we are happy to be going to LSU."
Player Ryan Carter
(General Comments)
"That was only my second start of the year, I started the first game of the season. I hurt my right shoulder, and then my role changed and I became one of the closers. Player Chase Utley
(On the team's goals) - "I think that everyone is focused and that they know what our goal is. Our goal is to go to Omaha and win the World Series. There is no better time for us to put that together than now. Oklahoma is a good ball team, they are really scrappy. I rank them up there with some of the best teams we have played."
