Los Angeles -UCLA freshman Sarah-Gayle Swanson scored three goals and senior Tracey Milburn added another as the No. 8 UCLA women's soccer team improved to 5-1 on the season Sunday, defeating Baylor 4-0 at the 2000 USC Fila Challenge hosted at USC's McAlister Field.

Similar to its 2-0 shutout over Vanderbilt on Friday, UCLA followed up a scoreless first half by dominating the second 45 minutes of play. Swanson, who leads the Bruins in scoring this season with 16 points (7g, 2a), got things started early in the second half, scoring her first goal in the 49th minute on an assist from Bruin senior Venus James. She registered her second goal in the 80th minute with help from junior Staci Duncan. Her final goal of the afternoon came in the 85th minute of play with assists from Stephanie Rigamat and Breana Boling.

Senior Tracey Milburn made the score 4-0 on an unassisted goal in the 87th minute.

UCLA dominated the match, outshooting Baylor 26-3, while Bruin goalkeeper CiCi Peterson needed only one save to record the shutout, her fourth of the season.

The Bruins are off for the next two weeks and don't play again until Sept. 24 when they travel to San Diego for a match with USD.
