UCLA Men Third, Women Sixth At Stanford Cross Country Invitational

Stanford. Calif. - The UCLA men's cross country team placed third and the women sixth at the Stanford Invitational.
The Bruin men totaled 142 points en route to their third-place showing. Stanford was first with 28 points, followed by second-place UC Santa Barbara (118). Jonathon Riley of Stanford won the race in a time of 24:44. Junior Bryan Green was the Bruins' top runner for the fourth consecutive meet, placing seventh in a time of 25:26. Green has placed in the Top 10 in all four races this year. Senior Mason Moore also finished in the Top 20 at 16th place. Also scoring for the Bruins were Paul Muite (30th place), Jon Rankin (44th), Justin Patananan (49th) and Andrew Wulf (50th).
The Bruin women scored 183 points for sixth place. Stanford placed first with 61 points, followed by Washington (91), Kansas State (97), Wisconsin (106) and Arkansas (108). Lilli Kleinmann of Arkansas won the race in a time of 16:55. Christina Bowen was UCLA's top runner, placing 14th in 18:05. Katie Nuanes also placed in the Top 25 at 24th place. Also scoring for the Bruins were Bridget Hatch (40th place), Valerie Flores (52nd) and Kelly Grimes (57th).
