Cross Country Concludes 2025 Season at West Regional
November 14, 2025 | Cross Country
SACRAMENTO, Calif. โ Redshirt freshman Andreas Dybdahl finished 19th in the men's 10k to lead UCLA at the NCAA Division I West Cross Country Regional on Friday morning at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.
Overall, the Bruins finished 9th out of 30 teams on the men's side and 12th out of 39 teams in the women's 6k.
Dybdahl (29:55.4) was the lone UCLA racer to finish in the top-25. By virtue of finishing in the top-25, it remains a possibility โ though remote โ he could earn an at-large selection into next week's NCAA Championships.
Henry Coughlan (30:23.2, 47th) joined Dybdahl in the top-50, while Everett Capelle (30:25.9, 51st) and Jack Falkowski (30:28.3, 54th) narrowly missed out on that club. Kai Mitchell-Reiss (30:34.0, 58th) rounded out the Bruins' scoring group.
UCLA was as high as sixth place in the team standings โ at the 2.5k mark โ but settled in at No. 9 around the 6k mark, staying at that spot until the conclusion of the race.
On the women's side, true freshman Evie Marheineke (20:46.0, 45) paced the Bruins and ended as the lone UCLA racer inside the top-50.
Olivia Foody (20:54.8, 56th) was runner-up among the Bruins, followed by Annika Salz (21:09.2, 70th), Ailish Hawkins (21:11.4, 72nd), and Gabriella Peters (21:32.0, 87th).
