Los Angeles- UCLA sophomore Jean-Julien Rojer defeated Stanford's Ryan Haviland this afternoon to claim the Sherwood Collegiate Cup singles title at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, CA. Rojer defeated Haviland, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 to claim the title.

Rojer advanced to the final after defeating Stanford's David Martin, 6-3, 7-5 in the semifinals, while Haviland reached the final with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over UCLA's Erfan Djahangiri.

In doubles action, UCLA's top team of Rojer and Jean-Noel Grinda fell in the quarterfinals to Stanford's Martin and Scott Lipsky, 8-6.
