LOS ANGELES -- The ninth-ranked UCLA women's tennis team won the doubles point then took five of six singles matches Sunday, en route to a convincing 6-1 victory over No. 24 Arizona at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. With the win, UCLA improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in Pac-10 play after defeating No. 7 Arizona State on Saturday in the Bruins' 2001 season opener. Arizona falls to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference action.
UCLA's next match will be Feb. 8 when the Bruins host UC Irvine at the Los Angeles Tennis Center beginning at 1:30 p.m.
