CORVALLIS, Ore. - The top-ranked UCLA gymnastics squad recorded a school and Pac-10 record 198.25 to defeat No. 21 Oregon State, which scored a season-high 196.375. Three Bruins scored perfect 10s, and the Bruins turned in a school-record 49.7 on the balance beam to close the meet.

Bruin sophomore Onnie Willis scored the first 10.0 for UCLA in rotation two, hitting her Yurchenko half layout front vault to match OSU's Katrina Severin, who also scored a 10.0 in rotation one. Willis' 10 was the second in her career.

In the final two rotations, two Bruin freshmen got into the act, as Jamie Dantzscher scored her fifth career 10.0 with a perfect mark on the floor exercise, and Kristen Maloney became the first UCLA athlete ever to score a 10.0 on the balance beam. It was Maloney's first career 10.0.

UCLA led from the beginning, compiling a 49.325 on bars in rotation one while Oregon State score 48.825 on vault. Senior Mohini Bhardwaj led the Bruin bars team with a winning-mark of 9.95.

The Bruins moved to vault for rotation two and scored a season-high 49.575. Willis led with her 10.0, and four others recorded career-highs - Maloney and Yvonne Tousek (9.85), Dantzscher (9.925) and Kristin Parker (9.95).

Although the Beavers turned in a school-record 49.400 on beam in rotation three, UCLA turned up the heat on floor exercise with a 49.65. Dantzscher's 10 and Willis' career- high 9.975 led the Bruins.

Oregon State tried to cut UCLA's lead close in the fourth rotation and scored a season-high 49.55, but the Bruins outscored that total with another school-record 49.7 on beam. UCLA dropped a 9.85 and had career-best performances from Willis (9.85), Bhardwaj (9.95), Parker (9.95) and Tousek (9.95), in addition to Maloney's 10.

Willis won her second consecutive all-around with a career-high 39.675. Parker was close behind with a 39.625, and Bhardwaj placed fourth with a 39.175.
