  • UCLA's record improves to 6-0, 3-0. Cal drops to 0-6, 0-4.

  • UCLA increases its series lead over California to 46-25-1.

  • UCLA running back DeShaun Foster finished the game with 117 yards rushing on 24 rushes to record the 12th 100-yard game of his career and the fifth in six games this year. Foster now ranks tied for fifth with Wendell Tyler on the all-time school list for most career 100-yard games.

  • With two rushing touchdowns and one touchdown catch, Foster moves past Gaston Green for second place on the all-time school touchdown list with 42. Foster trails only Skip Hicks (55).

  • Foster also moves past Green into fifth place on the all-time scoring list with 254 career points and needs just 14 more points to pass fourth-place Alfredo Velasco (267 points).

  • Foster's touchdown catch was his first receiving touchdown of the season.

  • Craig Bragg's 42-yard touchdown run on a double reverse in the first quarter was his second rushing touchdown of the season. He also scored a touchdown on a reverse against Kansas Sept. 8.

  • Cory Paus' three touchdown passes moved him into sole possession of sixth place on the UCLA career touchdown passes list with 32. He needs just one more to tie Tommy Maddox for fifth place.

  • Paus moved past Dennis Dummit into sixth place on the UCLA career completions list with 297.

  • Paus continued his streak of consecutive passes without an interception to 189. The streak dates back to the 2000 Washington game.

  • Paus' 273 passing yards were a season-high.

  • Devon Reese's touchdown off a blocked punt by Marcus Reese (no relation) was UCLA's second in as many games. This marks the first time in available records (since 1957) that UCLA has scored on two blocked punts in the same season, much less in back-to-back games.

  • The Bruin defense continued its streak of scoreless third quarters to six. UCLA has not allowed any points in the third quarter this year.

  • The Bruins have outscored their opponents 72-0 in the third quarter this year.

  • UCLA's 56 points scored were the most by a Bruin team since scoring 66 in a 66-10 win over Houston on Oct. 4, 1997. UCLA's 39-point margin of victory is also its largest since that game.

  • The 56-17 victory was the most lopsided in the UCLA-Cal series since UCLA's 45-0 win in 1978.

  • UCLA's 56 points scored are the most by a Cal opponent this year and the most since Washington State scored 63 against Cal in a 63-37 win on Oct. 18, 1997.

  • The Bruins have won their first six games for the first time since 1998 and for only the seventh time since 1954. Other 6-0 starts were in 1998, 1988, 1980, 1969, 1967 and 1966.

  • UCLA has held six-straight teams to 20 or less points for the first time since 1976 and to under 20 points for the first time since 1966.

  • UCLA's defense has allowed just 77 points this year, the second-lowest total in school history after the first six games. The school record is 58, set in 1980.

  • Bob Toledo's victory was his 41st at UCLA, tying him for fourth place with Tommy Prothro on the all-time school list for coaching victories. Toledo holds a 41-23-0 record. Prothro recorded a 41-18-3 mark from 1965-70. Third place is Red Sanders, 1949-1957, 66-19-1, second is Bill Spaulding, 1925-38, 72-51-8, first is Terry Donahue, 1976-95, 151-74-8.

  • Joe Igber's first rush of the game was for 39 yards, Cal's longest run of the season.

  • Charon Arnold had a 41-yard kickoff return, Cal's longest of the year.

  • Today's attendance was 65,366, UCLA's fifth consecutive 60,000+ home crowd.
