STANFORD, Calif. - UCLA's semifinal matchup against California turned out to be a competitive game, as the Bruins prevailed 6-4 to move on to the championship game against Stanford. Lorenz tied the game 2-2 in the second, but the Bears would get no closer as UCLA would tally three goals in the second half. Kelly Heuchan, Jessica Lopez and Elaine Zivich were all credited with goals for the Bruins and Heather Petri was the only other scorer for Cal. Bruin keeper Jaime Hipp had four saves and Cal's Fana Fuqua had three.
