The defending NCAA champion UCLA men's volleyball team swept Division III UC Santa Cruz Friday night to record its 11th victory of the season.
The Bruins (11-4) won 30-17, 30-21, 30-23 in 76 minutes before 432 in Pauley Pavilion.
Sophomore Greg Coon and freshman Chris Pe?a combined for 22 kills and 12 total blocks. Sophomore Cameron Mount and senior Mark Williams added nine and eight kills, respectively.
The Bruins out-served the Banana Slugs (4-11), nine aces to two and out-blocked them 12.5-7.5.
Sophomore Mike Rubin led UCSC with 11 kills and senior Jonah Carson added seven.
The Bruins will host MPSF foe UC San Diego Sat., Mar. 3 at 7 p.m. in the John Wooden Center.
