Berkeley, Calif. - The UCLA women's tennis team fell to No. 5 Cal, 5-2 Saturday up in the Bay Area. With the loss, UCLA falls to 5-13 overall, while Cal improves to 13-2.
The Bruins earned their two points on singles victories from freshmen Lauren FIsher at the No. 3 position and Mariko Fritz-Krockow at the No. 4 slot. The Golden Bears won the doubles point, including four of six singles matches to earn the 5-2 decision.
The Bruins are on the road again next week as they travel to the state of Washington for matches with Washington on Friday and Washington State on Saturday.
