Stone Mountain, Ga. - The UCLA women's tennis team ended its season Thursday, suffering a 4-1 loss to No. 6 Vanderbilt at the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships at Georgia's Lincoln Tennis Center.

The Bruins finish their season with a 9-18 overall record, while Vanderbilt improves to 24-4 on the year and advances to take on No. 3 Duke in the quarterfinals on Friday.

UCLA's lone point on the day came at No. 1 singles where No. 18 Sara Walker defeated No. 15 Julie Ditty, 6-3, 7-6.

Though UCLA is out of the team championships, four Bruins will be competing in the NCAA Individual Championships, May 21-25, also in Stone Mountain. Walker will be competing in the singles draw and will team with partner Mariko Fritz-Krockow in the doubles tournament. Lauren Fisher and Petya Marinova will also represent UCLA in the doubles draw.
