On October 31, Bruin student-athletes, coaches and administrators participated in the First Book Gift of Reading Tour. First Book, in partnership with Coca Cola and Scholastic Inc, brought the world's largest book to the UCLA campus where every signature gathered from members of the UCLA community translated into a book donation for a child in Los Angeles. At the end of the day, over 4,000 signatures were collected. UCLA received 2500 books for its children's literacy projects and the remainder of the books were donated to children's organizations throughout Los Angeles.
