The UCLA women's golf team tied for second place in the Oregon State Shanico Invitational Tuesday at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, OR.
The Bruins posted a team score of 306 in the final round and compiled a 54-hole total of 893, 29 over-par. California won the event with a score of 884 after posting a final round score of 299. Host Oregon State tied UCLA for second, followed by fourth-place Oregon at 911 and Colorado at 916.
Junior transfer Hana Kim tied for eighth place at 222 after posting a final round score of 77. Juniors Melissa Martin and Gina Umeck tied for 16th at 225. In the final round Martin shot a 74 and Umeck posted a 77. Sophomore Yvonne Choe tied for 21st at 228 and junior Saki Uechi tied for 26th at 230.
Idaho's Nicole Keller won the event with a three-round total of 214, two-under par. Cal's Vikki Laing finished second at 218, followed by Cal's Sarah Huarte and Oregon State's Stacie Ferguson, who each tied for third at 220.
