
No. 15 Bruins Too Much for UC Irvine

Los Angeles - The No. 15 UCLA women's tennis team won all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches, rolling to a 6-1 victory over UC Irvine Wednesday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. With the victory, the Bruins improve to 3-0, while UC Irvine falls to 0-2.
In singles, Sara Walker was the first Bruin off the court as she downed UCI's Amy Tranckino, 6-0, 6-0. Hawley duplicated the feat at No. 5 singles, defeating Christie Posner by the same score.
Bruin freshman Megan Bradley continued to impress at the No. 1 position, downing Jonni Seymour, 6-2, 6-3. In addition, both Mariko Fritz-Krockow and Sarah Gregg registered straight-set victories Wednesday.
UCI's only point on the day came at No. 3 singles where Tiffany Chang defeated UCLA's Petya Marinova, 6-1, 4-6, Ret.
The Bruins return to action this Friday, traveling across town to take on No. 7 USC. That match begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Marks Tennis Stadium on the campus of USC.
