Hannah Jun, one of the nation's top junior golfers, signed a National Letter of Intent to attend UCLA, the athletic department announced Thursday.

An All-CIF performer, Jun won her third straight CIF San Diego Section Championship yesterday, playing for Torrey Pines High. Her scores were 73-75-148 at the Admiral Baker Course in Tierrasanta. She also led her team to its third straight CIF title.

"Hannah Jun will be a great addition to our team," said Head Coach Carrie Leary. "She is an outstanding player and we will be happy to have her as a member of our program."

In 2002, Jun, ranked 16th by Golfweek/Titleist, has posted six Top 10 finishes in eight AJGA events. She tied for second at the AJGA Morgan Run Junior (72-71-68-211) and placed third at the San Jose Junior Classic (73-72-75-220). In September, she earned AJGA All-America honors.

Jun also finished second at the 2002 Callaway Junior World Championships with an 11-under par score of 285, and she placed third at this year's U.S. Girl's Junior Championships at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, NJ.
