EA Sports defeated UCLA, playing without leading senior scorer Jason Kapono, 70-64, before 3,379 in Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday in an exhibition game. Kapono was held out of the game because of a sprained right thumb, suffered several days ago in practice.

EA Sports had two players in double figures, led by former Arizona standout Bennett Davison's team-high 18 points and a game-high seven rebounds and former Santa Clara star Brian Jones, who added 17 points and a game-high five assists.

The Bruins also had two players in double figures - senior Ray Young, a game-high 26 points and junior T. J. Cummings, with 13.

EA Sports led 33-27 at halftime.

UCLA lost both its exhibition games heading into Tuesday's (Nov. 26) regular season opener with the U. of San Diego in Pauley Pavilion at 7:30 p.m.
