In the second to last home game of the 2002 season, UCLA defeated Pacific 20-4. Bruin scoring leaders were Junior Mari Joyce and sophomore Thalia Munro, each netting a hat trick in the victory. Bruins scoring a pair of goals were Kelly Heuchan, Natalie Golda, Jessica Lopez, Eleanor Murphy and Amber Stachowski. Also scoring for UCLA were Maureen Flanagan, Jody Schmidt, Nicolette Grams and Robin Beauregard. Goalie Jaime Hipp had three saves and Christel Smith had two saves for the Bruins.
Scoring goals for the Pacific Tigers were Jessica Melcher, Amy Valois-Collette, Stacy Christy and Lindsay McNamee. Tiger goalie Jaime Hamilton had two saves on the day.
With the win, the Bruins improve their record to 14-3, 6-1 MPSF. Tomorrow, March 30, UCLA will face the No. 4 California Golden Bears at noon at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center.
