Eugene, OR - The No. 8 UCLA women's tennis team evened its Pac-10 record at 1-1 on Friday with a 5-2 win over the Oregon Ducks (9-6, 1-4 Pac-10). After UCLA claimed the doubles point, wins by Jackie Carleton, Susi Wild, Sarah Gregg, and Anya Loncaric in singles play completed the victory.

Gregg and Wild teamed to beat Oregon's Ester Bak and Monika Gieczys, 8-3, while Laura Gordon and Sara Walker beat Oregon's Anna Leksinska and Julie Merle, 8-2. The Ducks' doubles win came when the No. 38 duo of Courtney Nagle and Daria Panova beat Carleton and Feriel Esseghir 8-4.

UCLA won at the top three singles positions, beating all three of Oregon's nationally ranked players in the process. No. 31 Carleton beat No. 16 Panova 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, while No. 42 Wild beat No. 89 Gieczys 6-3, 6-1. Gregg finished off the trio by beating No. 52 Nagle 7-5, 7-5. Loncaric notched UCLA's fourth singles win of the day when she beat Bak 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.

Oregon won on courts four and six. Jamie Marshall beat Gordon 6-4, 6-0, and Leksinska beat Shilpa Joshi 7-5, 6-4.

UCLA will play its last non-conference match of the year when it faces No. 17 Texas (4-3, 4-0 Big XII) at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on Tuesday, Mar. 11 at 1:30 p.m.
