Mathews helped lead the Bruins to their second NCAA women's golf title, finishing third individually at the NCAA Championships with scores of 71-69-68-72--280 (-8). Her third-place finish was the best individual finish by a UCLA player since 1996. Mathews played the back nine on Saturday's final round in two-under par to preserve the Bruins' lead. She earned first-team All-America honors from the NGCA and finished the season ranked eighth nationally. Mathews holds a 3.5 cumulative GPA and is nominated for Academic All-America honors.

This is Mathews' first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
