Bruin Blue Team Finishes 14th

The UCLA men's golf Blue Team finished in 14th place at the UC Riverside Braveheart Classic held at the PGA of Southern California Course in Beaurmont.

The Bruins posted a team score of 308 Wednesday and moved up from 16th place. St. Mary's College finished first with a 54-hole score of 909, followed by UC Irvine at 913 and Cal State Northridge at 310. The Bruins finished three shots ahead of Idaho at 958 and eight shots in front of 16th place Loyola Marymount.

Individually, freshman Peter Campbell posted an even par 72 in the final round to finish in a tie for 30th at 234. Freshman Joakim Renstrom tied for 47th at 237 and teammate Chris Heintz tied for 52nd at 239. Sophomore Breene Murphy tied for 66th at 244 following a 76 in the final round.

Boise State's Graham DeLaet (222) won medalist honors by one shot over Utah's Garrett Clegg (223). UCLA will send its top players to compete in the Las Vegas Founders Invitational, Mar. 12-14.
