TASHA SCHWIKERT, Centennial HS, Las Vegas, NV...Nation's #1 gymnast and leading candidate for 2004 USA Olympic Team...She was a 2000 USA Olympian and 2003 World Championship gold medalist...She was the USA All-Around champion in 2001 and 2002 and runner-up in 2003...She has been a member of the USA National Team the past 7 years and has competed world-wide representing the USA...She was a gold medalist at the 2001 Pan-American Games..She won the 2002 bars and floor individual events and the 2001 beam championship at the USA's.

JENNIFER SCHROEDER, 3rd base-first base-catcher, Esperanaza HS in Yorba Linda, CA...One of the top hitters in the nation...Had excellent summer of club ball...Played for the Worth Firecrackers that finished 3rd at the 2003 ASA Gold Nationals.
ANJELICA SELDEN, right-handed pitcher, Vanden HS, Vacaville, CA... Regarded as one of the top two pitchers in the nation...First team NFCA All-American...Had 21 strike outs in a 10 inning game last year...In one game pitched a no-hitter with 13 K's and drove in winning run with a triple...Allowed just one earned run last year in 160 innings for 0.04 ERA with 311 strike outs.
SWIMMING:
SHANNON HACKETT, Freestyler, COLLINGWOOD SCHOOL, VANCOUVER, BC...Top middle distance freestyler...At Canadian World Trials swam long course 2:03:84 (200 free); 4:17:58 (400 free) and 8:54:00 (800 free). She has also swam 2:19:50 in the 200 fly.
ERIN KETCHUM, Distance Freestyle, Capistrano Valley HS and lives in Mission Viejo, CA...She has gone 10:04:89 short court (1000 free) and 16:43:92 (1650 free)...She also has good shorter distance times of 1:51:79 (200 free) and 4:54:17 (500 free) for short course. She was a national qualifier in both 2002 and 2003 in the long distance events.
JILLIAN OCHS, Breaststroke, Campolindo HS and lives in Lafayette, CA...She is national qualifier in both short course events with best times of 1:03 (100 breast) and 2:22 (200 breast).
NICOLETTE TEO, Breaststroker/IM, Mission Viejo HS and lives in Mission Viejo via Singapore where she has already qualified for the 2004 Olympics in Greece...Has top long course breaststroke times of 1:11.0 (100 breast) and 2:36 (200 breast). She has gone 2:22 for the 200 IM.
*CHIEMI YAMAMOTO, Shuyukan HS in Fukuoka-shi, Japan...One of the top young IM'ers coming into college next year, who also swims fast in the breaststroke events...Has best times of 2:18:24 (200IM), 4:47:15 (400 IM), 1:11.38 (100 breast) and 2:29.69 (200 breast).
DIVING:
HEATHER PENG, Palo Alto HS in Palo Alto, CA...Competes for Stanford Diving Club and has qualified for both the Winter and Summer Junior Olympics...She is the HS record holder in the 1 and 3 meter events.
*BRITTANY RENFROW, Centennial HS in Bakersfield, CA...She is a six-time Junior National Champion on springboard...In 2000 at the Jr. National Championships was 3rd on the one meter and 4th on the three meter boards... Has been injured the past few years, but is healthy again.
WOMEN'S TENNIS:
TRACY LIN, Canyon HS in Anaheim, CA...Former CIF singles champion and has won many USTA Junior Doubles Titles...Ranked #21 nationally in singles and #7 in Southern California...HS All-American in both 2002 and 2003...Reached Easter Bowl doubles finals in 2003 and semi's in 2002... Brother Eric is former UCLA men's tennis player and doing medical residency at UCLA...He was at UCLA from 1994-97.
ELIZABETH LUMPKIN, Naperville Central HS, Naperville, Illinois... First four-time singles champion in Illinois State history...#1 ranked HS senior this year in the Midwest area with #29 national ranking...Took 3rd place in doubles at USTA Super National Claycourts last summer and reached semi's again at Super National Hardcourts...She and Zalameda were teammates on the 2002 USA Junior Fed Cup Team.
RIZA ZALAMEDA, Beverly Hills HS and lives in Los Angeles, CA...One of nation's top recruits...Currently ranked #14 nationally in singles and among top five in California...Won Super 2003 18 Doubles at USTA National Hardcourts and got wild card into main draw of USA Open Doubles...Just won Bay League Singles Title, sweeping 4 matches in straight sets and led team to CIF finals for 3rd straight year...Member of Team USA that won the prestigious Maureen Connolly Continental Cup in 2002 and also participate on USA Junior Fed Cup squad....Honor student.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: *DUSTIN DELEO, Pole Vault, Los Alamitos HS and lives in Seal Beach, CA... CIF leader in the pole vault at 16'2"...Works with former UCLA pole vaulting great Mike Tully.
CHADWICK DUNN, Sprints, Los Alamitos HS and lives in Seal Beach, CA...Will compete in both the 100 and 200 meters for UCLA.
*DOMINIQUE EASTERLING, Jumps, Madra HS in Madras, Oregon...Top Jumper in the State and Oregon champion in triple (49-4) and high jump (6-8) and 3rd in long jump (22-5) events...Has won all 3 events at various competitions during the year.
*DANE ENDLY, Sprints, UC Riverside transfer out of Laguna Hills HS... Will have 3 years of eligibility left for UCLA...Has run 21.44 for 200 Meters and will provide sprint depth for the program.
*MICHAEL HADDAN, Middle Distances, Woodbridge HS in Irvine, CA... CIF 800 meter champion and former area cross country champion...Has overcome injuries to become one of the top 800 meter runners in the nation...Has run in the world junior championships in the 800 meters and has run 1:51.00...He finished #2 in cross country in 2002...Will likely run 800, 1500 meters and cross country for UCLA.
*MICHAEL JOHNSON, Jumps, Rancho Cucamonga HS in Rancho Cucamonga...Had leading State jump in the triple going into the finals and finished second with wind-aided 50-2. Won CIF and Master's Meet going 49-8. Top prospect for college.
*BOLDIZSAR KOCSOR, Throws, University City HS in San Diego...One of the top young hammer throwers in the USA (has second best USA mark at 199' 11") and CIF discus champion...Also throws shot put...Was HS starting football linebacker, but will only do track and field in college...His father Tibor was an Olympic boxer for Romania in 1968 and 1972.
*ANDREW NINOW, Throws, Folsom HS & Los Rios CC, Folsom, CA... Top JC thrower, who can make an immediate contribution to the program... Has thrown 181-1 in the hammer (2nd in JC State).
*MATTHEW REUTER, Hurdles-HJ, Damien HS and lives in Ontario, CA... CIF Master's Meet qualifier in 100 (14.42) and 300 hurdles (38.61), plus the high jump (6-4)...League Champion in all 3 events.
JAMES RHOADES, 200-400 Meters, Ramona HS in Ramona, CA...One of top returning 400 meter runners in the State. State Meet qualifier in 2003 when he ran 48.48...Has run 22.1 for 200 meters...Played quarterback for his HS football team, but will concentrate on track in college.

JOEL TUOSTO, Long-Triple Jump, Greenfield HS in Greenfield, CA... State Meet qualifier in the triple jump and league champion in the long jump.
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD:
*OLGA AULET-LEON, Distances/CC, Penisula HS in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA...League champion at 1600 and 3200 and finished 3rd in
CIF's...Also had excellent cross-country season as league champion.
JOLANDA DIEGO, Sprints, El Camino HS and lives in Oceanside, CA... San Diego area CIF sprint champion at both 100 (11.89) and 200 meters (23.84).
*DASHANTA HARRIS, Hurdles, Long Beach Poly HS, League Champion in 100 hurdles (has run 14.1) and was second in CIF's at 300 hurdles...Also runs on sprint relay team that was CIF champs.

JAMIE DIEFENBACH, 6-8 middle blocker, Newport Harbor HS in Newport Beach, CA...Starter in both basketball and volleyball, but will concentrate on volleyball at UCLA...Coming off of ACL surgery that limited his junior year, but excellent college prospect...All-League player last year even with late start had fine summer.
TONY KER, 6-1, Libero-Outside Hitter, Valencia HS in Valencia, CA...Led team to first CIF title last year with his passing, defense and hitting...Played for Former Bruin standout Mark Knutsen.
DAVID "DJ" STROMATH, 6-7 middle blocker, Mira Costa HS in Manhattan Beach, CA...First team All-Daily Breeze Newspaper and All-Bay League selection as a junior...Gold medalist at 2003 Junior Olympics and silver medalist at 2003 USA Volleyball Jr. Beach Championships...Starter on 2002 CIF Division II Championship team.
