Athens, Ga. - The UCLA women's tennis team had one singles player and a doubles team advance in the NCAA Individual Championships Tuesday at the University of Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Bruin freshman Riza Zalameda defeated North Carolina's Kendall Cline, 7-6(7), 6-0 in second-round action. She will next face Texas A&M's Helga Vieira in the round of 16 on Wednesday.

In doubles action, fourth-seeded Daniela Bercek and Zalameda opened up the draw with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 victory over New Mexico's Iva Gersic/Maja Kovacek. Next up for them will be Clemson's Julie Coin/Alix Lacelarie in the round of 16.
