Tulsa, Okla. - UCLA sophomore men's tennis player Benjamin Kohlloeffel won two matches Thursday to advance to the round of 16 in singles at the 2005 Polo Ralph Lauren ITA All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa.

Kohlloeffel, seeded third in the tournament, opened up the day with a 7-6(12), 4-6, 6-1 victory over Michigan's Matko Maravic. He then defeated Matt Roberts of Arkansas, 6-3, 6-2 in the second round. Next up for Kohlloeffel will be a meeting with Baylor's Lars Poerschke on Friday at 9:00 a.m. (PST).

Kohlloeffel is the only UCLA player competing in this year's ITA All-American Championships. Should he win on Friday, Kohlloeffel will face the winner of Rylan Rizza (Virginia) and Jerry Makowski (Texas A&M) in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
