Three UCLA golfers were named to various All-Pac-10 Academic Teams, the conference announced Friday.
Senior Susie Mathews earned conference all-academic honors for the third straight year, and was named to the first team for the second time. Last year, she earned second-team honors. Mathews, a three-time National Golf Coaches Assn. Scholar All-American, boasts a 3.59 cumulative grade point average in Communication Studies and is scheduled to graduate in June.
In addition, redshirt sophomore Brianna Loyear earned Second-Team Pac-10 All-Academic honors with her 3.52 cumulative grade point average in Political Science. The selection was Loyear's first.
Finally, junior Chris Heintz earned Second-Team Pac-10 All-Academic honors on the men's side. The selection was Heintz's first on the second team. Last year, he was an honorable mention choice. He owns a 3.22 cumulative gpa in History.
