
Gordon Advances to Finals at Freeman Memorial Championships

Senior women's tennis player Laura Gordon won four singles matches to earn a spot in Sunday's final of the Freeman Memorial Tennis Championships in Las Vegas.
Gordon's impressive run in Las Vegas includes wins two top-10 ranked players. She defeated Stanford's fourth-ranked Alice Barnes, 7-5, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. She followed that up with a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Stanford's 10th-ranked Theresa Logar.
Gordon will face another Stanford player, 69th-ranked Celia Durkin, in Sunday's final.
