The UCLA Athletic Department hosted the final leg of the Marathon Kids® program on Saturday, March 10th at Drake Stadium. Over 90 Bruin student-athletes were on hand to encourage over 2,500 kindergarden through 5th graders from LAUSD and their families celebrate the end of the five-month program. Participants were greeted by former Bruins, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and Olympian Gold Medalists Joanna Hayes and Monique Henderson, and were encouraged to continue to build habits of healthy living. The students were presented with a participant medal after completing their final lap at Drake Stadium.
