Senior Benjamin Kohlloeffel (Herne, Germany/ Otto-Hahn Gymnasium) of the UCLA men's tennis team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Apr. 16-22.

Playing in his final regular-season home match at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on Saturday, Kohlloeffel won the deciding singles match in the Bruins' 4-3 victory over No. 9 USC, clinching the 2007 Pac-10 Conference title for UCLA (its fourth in a row). With the dual match tied at 3-3, Kohlloeffel sealed the win for UCLA with a 6-4, 6-4 decision against USC's 34th-ranked Jamil Al-Agba. Kohlloeffel, ranked No. 4 nationally, improved his singles record to 28-3 on the year. He is also 20-1 in dual-match competition. Prior to singles play, Kohlloeffel teamed with partner Philipp Gruendler at No. 1 doubles, defeating 43rd-ranked Dejan Cvetkovic/ Gary Sacks, 9-7. Kohlloeffel and Gruendler, ranked No. 7 in the country, are 22-1 overall and 19-1 in dual-match play.

This is Kohlloeffel's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and fourth of his career.
