During the Spring 2007 quarter, 243 current or former UCLA student-athletes earned a spot on the Director's Honor Roll. Student-athletes must earn a grade-point average of 3.00 or better to make the Honor Roll. Of those 243 student-athletes, 83 earned a 3.50 or higher, including 11 with a 4.00 GPA.
Senior Chris Joseph, the starting center for the football team, has the highest GPA (3.969) in the athletic program among student-athletes with at least two years at UCLA.
The 11 current or former student-athletes who earned 4.00 grade-point averages are: Ariana Berlin, women's gymnastics; Jessica Buzawa, women's rowing; Alison Costello, women's track and field; Ian Jackson, men's volleyball; Chris Joseph, football; Lila Miller, women's rowing; Ashley Peckett, women's gymnastics; Kate Richardson, women's gymnastics; Hannah Roeder, women's track and field; Jennifer Sutton, women's gymnastics; and Emily Wachtel, women's rowing.
Eight different sports had at least 10 student-athletes earn 3.00 GPAs, including 34 members of the women's rowing program, 27 members of the football program, 24 members of men's track and field program, 23 members of women's track and field program, 20 members of women's swimming and diving program, 14 members of men's volleyball program, 12 members of women's soccer program and 11 members of women's volleyball program.
