LOS ANGELES - Junior Josh Shipp led the Bruins with 20 points and freshman Kevin Love recorded a double-double, registering 15 points and a team-leading 12 rebounds, to lead No. 2 UCLA past Azusa Pacific, 111-61, in an exhibition game Friday night at Pauley Pavilion.

Six Bruins scored in double figures, as Shipp shot 8-of-11 from the field to lead UCLA. Junior Darren Collison chipped in with 12 points and a team-best seven assists. Junior Michael Roll dropped 16 points and finished 3-for-5 shooting from behind the three-point arc.

Love, making his first appearance before a crowd of 8,211 in Pauley Pavilion, shot 6-of-10 from the field - including one three-point basket - and handed out three assists.

UCLA led the entire game, as Collison initiated a 10-0 run just 13 seconds into the contest with a steal followed by a fast break dunk. The visiting Cougars clawed to within 12-6 with 15:18 remaining in the half before UCLA used a 16-2 run to assume a 28-8 advantage with 8:26 to play before the break.

The Bruins led 48-26 at halftime and led by as many as 53 points with 1:50 remaining in the contest. UCLA shot 65.8 percent (25-of-38) in the second half and limited Azusa Pacific to 36.8 percent shooting (25-for-68) in the game.

Todd Martin led Azusa Pacific with 10 points and was the only Cougar to score in double digits.

The Bruins return to action Monday, Nov. 5 against Chico State in their final preseason exhibition contest. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
