
Bruins Fall in Four at Santa Barbara

The fourth-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team fell 3-1 at UC Santa Barbara in the quarterfinals of the MPSF playoffs Saturday night.
Fifth-ranked UCSB won 30-17, 37-35, 27-30, 30-27 in two hours and 15 minutes in front of 1,157 fans at Robertson Gym. The Gauchos advance to next week's semifinals against Pepperdine with a 20-11 record. The Bruins' season ended with a 19-11 mark.
The Bruins committed a season-high of 31 service errors and served seven aces. They hit .253 as a team led by 28 kills from senior Steve Klosterman, 18 from freshman Garrett Muagututia and 10 from senior Paul George.
UCSB out-blocked the Bruins, 12.5-4.0 and was led by senior Evan Patak's 24 kills. Theo Brunner added 10 kills and 10 total blocks.
