Senior Allie Miller had a career day in Cerritos on Saturday at the Beach Invitational as she cleared a lifetime-best and regional qualifying mark of 5-10.75 to win the high jump. That mark also ties for fifth in the country this season. She had a previous season-best of 5-7.75 and a lifetime-best of 5-9.25.

Also in the high jump, junior Maryanne Wee tied for second (5-7) and senior Kathleen Mahony tied for fifth (5-5).

Freshman Brittany Stalworth ran a season-best 12.82 in the 100m to place 39th overall.

In the 800m, junior Gabrielle Bournes led the way with her sixth-place run of 2:14.25. Junior Lauren Jirges placed 12th (2:17.28) and freshman Cobbie Jones was 22nd (2:20.66).

Freshman Shannon Murakami, running in her second 1500m in as many days, finished 11th with a season-best time of 4:38.86. Junior Olga Aulet-Leon was 21st (4:45.38) and freshman Kelcie Wiemann placed 39th (4:55.41).

Sophomore Krishna Curry will compete in the 800m on Sunday at the Mt. SAC Relays to wrap up this weekend's competitions.
