Women's 4x400m Relay Runs NCAA Qualifier At New Balance Invite

The 4x400m relay team of Krystin Lacy, Camilla Dencer, Krishna Curry and Ashlea McLaughlin ran an NCAA provisional qualifier of 3:39.24 at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York. The foursome finished second to LSU and although it's early in the indoor season, the mark ranks in the top-10 in the NCAA this season.
Also in New York, Curry finished fourth in the 800m as she ran a season-best 2:09.07. That time is just .07 seconds shy of the provisional mark.
In the mile, sophomore Shannon Murakami ran a season-best 4:58.20 to finish sixth overall, while freshman Shelby Buckley ran 5:05.51 for 16th-place. Also in the 800m, junior Rosa Magana finished 15th in a time of 2:16.11.
In the high jump, freshman Ryann Krais finished in a tie for fifth with a clearance of 5-3.75.
At the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, NE, junior Tori Pena placed fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 12-9.50.
