UCLA Rowing Opens Spring Season With Victories Over Loyola Marymount

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. - The UCLA women's rowing team opened its spring season with victories in each of three races against Loyola Marymount on Saturday morning. The Bruins' varsity eight and second varsity eight crews earned wins against the Lions' varsity eight in the morning's final race.
UCLA's varsity eight posted a time of 5:51.30, besting the Bruins' second varsity (6:05.00) and LMU's varsity crew (6:17.70). The Bruins raced a third varsity against LMU's second varsity, posting a time of 6:17.20. The Lions' second eight crossed the finish line at 6:41.90.
UCLA raced two novice boats against LMU's novice eight. The Bruins' first novice finished in 6:23.70 and the second boat posted a time of 6:48.50. The Lions crossed the finish line in 7:10.80.
The Bruins continue their spring season with a dual meet against San Diego State in Marina del Rey, Calif. on Saturday, March 13.
