Redshirt senior Brittani McCullough (Corona, CA/Centennial HS) of the UCLA gymnastics team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Jan. 24-30.
McCullough scored a career-high 39.4 in the all-around to help lead UCLA to a season-best score of 196.725 and the team's first dual meet win of the season at Oregon State. The Bruins hit 24-for-24 for the first time this year and recorded team season-highs on bars (49.275), beam (49.175) and floor (49.25) to surpass their overall team season-high by .75. McCullough tied her season-high on floor with a 9.9 to place second and then won the beam with a career-high-tying 9.9 to help the Bruins rally from a .05 deficit going into the final rotation. She also earned marks of 9.825 on bars and 9.775 on vault.
This is McCullough's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
