UCLA junior Tauny Frattone (Lake Forest, CA) was honored by the Pac-10 Conference with the Special Performance of the Week award for the week of Feb. 14-21.

Frattone tied her career-high on vault with a 9.95 on Monday against North Carolina State, sticking her Yurchenko half-on, piked front-off vault to capture first place for the fourth consecutive meet. Her score led the way for a Bruin season-high team score of 49.4 on vault. Frattone is averaging a team-best 9.868 on vault this year and ranks third amongst Conference competition. She has scored 9.8 or better on the event in 18 consecutive meets and in 22 of 24 career meets.

In addition, Frattone scored a career-high 9.85 on beam (4th place) to help the Bruins achieve a season-high score of 49.4 on the event, and her leadoff score of 9.8 on floor (8th place) helped lead the way to another season-high of 49.425. The Bruins' team total of 197.475 is a season-high and the highest of any team in the Pac-10 this season.

The Special Performance of the Week nod is Frattone's first of her career and UCLA's 14th all-time and second consecutive.

Also receiving weekly honors was Washington's Ruby Engreitz, who earned Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
