No. 2 seed UCLA will compete in the afternoon session of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships Team Preliminaries. The competition takes place on Friday, Apr. 15 at 12:00 pm ET at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH. The Bruins will begin competition on a bye before floor exercise, as determined by a random draw conducted by the NCAA on Monday morning. Also competing in the afternoon session are No. 3 Oklahoma, No. 6 Michigan, No. 7 Georgia, No. 10 Arkansas and No. 11 Illinois.

Competing in the evening session at 6 pm ET will be No. 1 Alabama, No. 4 Oregon State, No. 5 Florida, No. 8 Utah, No. 9 Nebraska and No. 12 and host team Kent State.

Friday's team preliminaries determine the all-around champion and the qualifiers to the Super Six Team Finals and Individual Event Finals. The top three finishers from each preliminary session will advance to the Super Six Team Finals on Saturday, Apr. 16 at 4:00 pm ET. The top four individuals from each session in each event (plus ties) from the preliminary team and all-around competition will compete in the Individual Event Finals on Sunday, Apr. 17 at 1 pm ET.

The defending NCAA champion Bruins will have a bye before its first event and will start the competition in the second rotation on floor exercise. After floor, the Bruins will move to vault, another bye, uneven bars and then will end the meet on balance beam. Arkansas has Olympic order and will begin on vault. Illinois starts on a bye before bars. Georgia starts on uneven bars. Michigan begins on beam, and Oklahoma starts on floor. Rotating with UCLA will be individual all-around qualifier Sharaya Musser from Penn State. In the evening session, Nebraska begins on vault, Kent State has a bye before bars, Utah begins on bars, Florida starts on beam, Alabama has the bye before floor, and Oregon State begins on floor.

The 12 qualifying teams were re-seeded based on National Qualifying Score, which took the teams' Regional Championships score and combined it with their Regional Qualifying Score. Teams seeded 1, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12 were placed in one group, while teams seeded 2, 3, 6, 7, 10 and 11 were placed in the other group. The Bruins are the No. 2 seed.

Host team Kent State is making its first-ever appearance at the NCAA Championships, which are being held in Cleveland for the first time.

UCLA will be competing in its 27th NCAA Gymnastics Championship and seeking its seventh NCAA title.
