On Wednesday at 8:00 am PT, Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott will hold a news conference to provide an update on Pac-12 media rights negotiations.
The news will take place at the Arizona Biltmore, where league meetings are currently taking place.
Scott will be joined at the news conference by Randy Freer, President of Fox Sports Networks, and Burke Magnus, ESPN Senior Vice President of College Sports Programming.
Here's a comment from UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero, who is at the league meetings, regarding the negotiations.
"Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott, along with the rest of his team including Creative Artists Agency, are to be commended for their tireless work to deliver a new landmark media rights deal to the conference," said Guerrero. "This deal is reflective of the extraordinary quality of institutions in the Pac-12. With terms better than anyone could have envisioned and an unprecedented level of national exposure, this agreement validates that the Pac-12 is truly the "Conference of Champions".
"Additionally, with universities and athletic programs across the country facing uncommon challenges in these difficult economic times, the new Pac-12 agreement will help ensure that the league's championship-caliber athletics and support for student-athlete academic success will continue to flourish. We are thrilled and excited to be part of this bright new future for the Pac-12 conference and its member institutions."
