The UCLA men's distance medley relay team opened the indoor track season on a strong note as they placed third at the UW Invite in Seattle. The Bruins finished behind Oregon, who won, and Washington.
The foursome of senior Cory Primm, freshman Philip MacQuitty, senior Quentin Powell and senior Scott Crawford posted a time of 9:39.62 for third-place. That mark ranks amongst the top 10 in the NCAA this season.
Competition continues in Seattle on Saturday with several distance runners competing on the men's side, while the women will compete sprinters and distance runners.
