The No. 1/No. 3 (Golfstat/Golfweek) ranked UCLA men's golf team improved on their day one result and finished round two of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters Tournament in 4th place.

The Bruins recorded a second round score of 283 (-5) to give them an overall score of 584 (+8). California took over the team lead with a second round 276 (-12) and now has a total score of 570 (-6). The Golden Bears go into the final round with a 6 shot lead over second place Texas A&M, who put up a score of 296 (+8) to give them a total of 576 (E). Oklahoma State is currently in 3rd place at 580 (+4).

Individually, freshman Patrick Cantlay shot the lowest round of the day with a 67 (-5) to move into fourth place at 142 (-2). He is currently seven shots back of the leader. Senior Connor Driscoll, sophomore Pontus Widegren and junior Gregor Main all posted a second round 72 (E). Driscoll is tied for 10th at 145 (+1), Widegren is tied for 17th at 148 (+4), and Main is tied for 40th at 152 (+8). Freshman Anton Arboleda posted a 76 (+4) to end up tied for 49th at 153 (+9).

Jordan Russell of Texas A&M is still the individual leader with a tournament score of 135 (-9).
