Kohala Coast, Hawai'i - The fourth-ranked UCLA men's golf team is in sole possession of second place after the second round of the Amer Ani Invitational in Kohala Coast, Hawai'i.

The Bruins posted a second round score of 285 (-3) to give them a total score of 560 (-16) for the tournament. They are currently just three strokes behind first place Texas, who shot a second round score of 287 (-1), giving them an overall score of 557 (-19). USC finished the day in third place after recording a score of 285 (-3) for their round to give them a tournament score of 561 (-15). Washington is sitting in fourth place after posting a second round 287 (-1), giving them an overall score of 562 (-14). Georgia Tech and Stanford finished the second round tied for fifth at 567 (-9). The Yellow Jackets posted a 289 (+1) for their round while the Cardinal shot a 285 (-3) for their day.

Individually, junior Pontus Widegren followed up his first round 66 (-6) by shooting a three-under par 69 for his second round, putting him atop the leaderboard with an overall score of 135 (-9). Widegren got off to a very hot start as he birdied four of his first five holes, eventually recording seven birdies on the day. Sophomore Anton Arboleda also moved up the leaderboard as he shot a second round 70 (-2) to move into a tie for 14th place at 139 (-5). Sophomore Patrick Cantlay, junior Pedro Figueiredo and senior Alex Shi Yup Kim each shot a 73 (+1) for the day and are currently tied for 30th place with a score of 143 (-1).
