In celebration of Black History Month, Fox Sports West ran a series of videos honoring several African-American athletes, including UCLA alumni John Smith and Walt Hazzard.

Smith, a former UCLA track and field athlete and coach, talked about his experiences as an athlete during the civil rights movement.

Hazzard, a UCLA Hall of Famer and starting point guard for John Wooden's first NCAA Championship team, was also profiled as a player who changed the game of basketball with every team for which he played.
