Tatum Souza picked up four points for the women's track and field team after placing fifth in the heptathlon at the Pac-12 Multi-Event Championships in Eugene, OR. The sophomore was just 16 points shy of her lifetime-best, scoring a solid 5334 points during the two-event competition.

Souza started the day with the ninth-best long jump mark (18-3.75, 723 pts.) and then had the fifth-best throw in the javelin (111-0, 549 pts.). In the final event, the 800m, she ran a lifetime-best of 2:17.35 for the fourth-fastest time of the day (860 pts.).

Souza improved on last year's sixth-place finish and ranks 21st in the NCAA this season.

After one scored event, Colorado leads with 11 points, while Oregon is second with 10, Arizona State is third with eight and the Bruins are tied with Arizona (4).
